OUR STORY

From Accidental to Intentional

If you ask Stan, he’ll tell you that we could have just as easily been named Accidental Farms. We weren’t looking for 60 acres. We weren’t planning to raise livestock. In fact, we first drove down this road just to look at some landscaping rocks. But God had other plans.

What began as a surprise purchase—an old farmhouse on neglected land—quickly became a calling. The overgrown woods, the piles of trash, the worn fences… they weren’t setbacks, they were invitations. Invitations to steward creation, to restore what had been left behind, and to build something lasting for our family.

Family First

Our story really began decades earlier in western Kansas, where Stan and his wife met as high schoolers. Marriage, a move to Northwest Arkansas, and years of hard work eventually led to a deeper calling: adoption. In 2017, the Oller family grew by four through a sibling group adoption, and with it came the conviction to build a life of meaning, hard work, and faith for the next generation. Teaching their kids responsibility, perseverance, and stewardship became the heartbeat of the home.

An Unexpected Farm

By 2019, the family thought they might want a little more space—maybe room for a cow or two. Instead, they stumbled into a farm purchase they never expected: 36 acres that turned into 60, complete with a creek, dilapidated structures, and mountains of debris. What seemed accidental was clearly intentional. The Lord was leading them into a new chapter.

The farm was in rough shape. Over 300 trees had to be cleared, we stopped counting after 342 tires were hauled off, and several ponds cleaned or dug anew. Miles of fence and pressurized water lines were installed. Old houses, barns, and mobile homes were dismantled. Bit by bit, what was neglected was reclaimed—restored to health and purpose.

Learning Along the Way

Animals soon followed: sheep, cattle, chickens, hogs, and more. Some ventures thrived, others failed, but each taught lessons in humility and resilience. Education became a lifestyle—attending grazing schools, devouring Joel Salatin’s books, studying under regenerative farmers, and experimenting in the fields.

With every step, the family saw God’s provision: “You do the best you can until you know better. Then you do better.”

From Our Fields to Your Table

Today, Intentional Farms is a small but growing regenerative farm in Northwest Arkansas. We raise livestock the way creation designed—rotating animals on fresh pasture, feeding naturally, and healing the soil with every step.

The cheap food system has taken a toll on health, families, and the land. Intentional Farms exists to show a different way—where food is medicine, farming is stewardship, and faith guides every decision.

We didn’t plan this life. But God did. What began as “accidental” has become fully intentional—a farm where families, faith, and food come together in harmony.

As we grow, we’ll share every step—every success, every lesson, every answered prayer. Because this isn’t just our story. It’s God’s story, unfolding through soil and sweat, one intentional day at a time.

Follow us as we reclaim land, restore hope, and raise food you can feel good about—from pasture to plate, and heart to home.
